AxioTAP Class A5 Series - XLine

XLine AxioTAP Class A5 is a dual mode network traffic access system providing a unique combination of features in a small form factor 4 port unit. Selectively programmable, one can choose:“ INLINE Mode ” to accommodate inline security devices like intrusion prevention (IPS), content filters, any inline security system or “ SPY Mode ” to accommodate monitoring devices like protocol analyzers, performance monitors, VoIP analyzers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS).

• In INLINE Mode traffic is flowing from one monitor port to the other and through the connected device. In this mode the inline device is continually monitored by the XLine TAP's heartbeat packets that provides for ‘FAIL SAFE' network traffic flow in the event of device failure. Once a heartbeat is reestablished, data will flow back through the device.
• In SPY Mode traffic doesn't flow through the connected device – from one Monitor port to the other, but is mirrored to any or both of the Monitoring ports like in a typical traffic aggregation TAP. This mode is very similar to the functionalities of our AxioTAP A3 Class.

AxioTAP XLine Copper TAPs feature two (2) 100/1000BASE-TX dual speed ports for Network connectivity and two (2) 1000BASE-TX ports for Monitor devices with RJ-45 connectors located on the front panel of the TAP. Network A and B, Monitor 1 and 2 Copper ports are Auto MDI-X ports.

AxioTAP XLine Fiber MM TAPs feature two (2) 1000Base-SX multimode fiber ports with LC fiber connectors and two (2) 1000BASE-TX copper ports with RJ-45 connectors located on the front panel of the TAP. Monitor ports 1 and 2 are Auto MDI-X ports.
